Every customer, the whole story.

How it worksFrom the call to the next job.
A customer calls while you’re on a job. You remember the street, not the name. That’s enough.
A street, a name, a phone number or a tag brings up the right record.
Every job, visit, invoice and note is on the record, newest first.
It opens with their contact and address already filled in.
A customer history nobody has to type.
Jobs, visits, invoices and the emails you send land on the customer’s record as the work happens, so it’s never behind.
Bill the payer. Send the crew to the right door.
Whoever pays is the customer. Each address is one of its locations, and the people you talk to are its contacts.
- A property manager with a dozen rentals is one customer, with a location at each address.
- Each job goes to one location, and the invoice goes to the customer who pays.
- Not sure which to add? See Customer, location, or contact.
Duplicate contacts stop at the door.
Add someone again and Stride checks their email, then offers the contact you already have. Dana stays one person, not two copies with her number typed two ways.
- Review duplicates points out the copies you already have.
- Merging keeps one contact and moves their jobs, invoices and notes to it. See Merge duplicate contacts.
See what’s owed before the truck rolls.
Every invoice for the customer is on their record, newest first, with what’s still due. You know before you book the next visit.
- A partly paid invoice shows what’s left, like $400.00 due of $816.00.
- With QuickBooks Online connected, invoices made there show up too. QuickBooks Online is included with Operations.
Know what’s installed before you go.
Model, serial, install date, warranty and every job that’s touched it, kept on the customer instead of in someone’s memory.
- Access notes and part sizes are kept with it.
- Turn it on in Settings, under Field operations, if your trade tracks equipment.
Follow up after every job without remembering to.
When a job is marked Completed, Stride writes one email to the job’s contact and sends it on your timing, or once you approve it.
- Every customer notification waits in one outbox: upcoming, needs attention, and sent.
- Included with Operations.
Do I need a separate CRM for my service business?
No. Customers, contacts, locations and their history are part of Stride, in both plans, on the same records as your jobs and invoices. Nobody copies a job into a CRM afterward.
Can I import my customers from a spreadsheet or another CRM?
Yes. Import a CSV from HubSpot, another CRM or a spreadsheet; records already in Stride are skipped, never overwritten. Or send us what you have, and we bring it in during onboarding.
How do I set up a property manager with several properties?
Make whoever pays the customer and give it a location for each address. Each job goes to one location, and the invoice goes to the customer who pays. Customer, location, or contact: which one to add.
How do I find and merge duplicate contacts?
Review duplicates points out possible copies, and merging keeps one contact and moves their jobs, invoices and notes to it. When someone adds a person whose email is already in Stride, it offers the contact you have instead. Merge duplicate contacts.
Can my technicians see customer information?
They see what the job needs: the customer, the address, the job contact and the instructions. Full customer records are for owners, administrators and schedulers.
Can Stride follow up with customers after a job?
On Operations, yes. When a job is marked Completed, Stride writes one thank-you email to the job’s contact and sends it on your timing, or once you approve it.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
On Operations, with QuickBooks Online connected, a customer’s record also lists the invoices made in QuickBooks, read-only, beside the ones made in Stride.
